of Arab origin (IX sec.), Was expanded by the Norman kings (XII sec.) And modified later. It features an impressive facade of the century. XVI - XVIII, the right of which stands the tower of Pisa or Santa Ninfa. The palace houses the Sicilian Regional Parliament and contains the royal apartments and the Palatine Chapel.

Bel Cortile seventeenth century to two orders of Lodges
the Palatine Chapel and a magnificent monument of the Norman period. It was built by Roger II (1132) and dedicated to St. Peter. The interior is shaped like a basilica with three naves, divided by ogival arches just mentioned. The mosaics cover the walls entirely. The oldest are those of the sanctuary and reflect in maniera piĆ¹ pura i caratteri della tradizione bizantina del sec. X e XI. Nella cupola: Cristo Pantocratore benedicente.
